So many of you have asked HOW I'M FEELING! Thank you so much for your sincere concern. I'm not one to FOCUS on the "NOT SO GOOD THINGS going on" - I always try to see it as "Ok, this isn't so bad...." This mindset has helped me get thru the HARD things knowing that someone else always has it worse than I do and I focus my thoughts on things that ARE GOING RIGHT and things that I am truly grateful for. I know that everyone has struggles and I also know there are BETTER DAYS AHEAD. I'M getting BETTER! I"m doing better!

My daily walks aren't quite as timely as they were before I got sick, my 13 minute mile is now a 21-22 minute mile but it gives me something to work toward! I still get a bit winded when I'm instructing BARRE and training but I know when to rest and I'm clocking my heart rate using my FIT-BIT....I listen to my body and I'm being very cautious. Our bodies are truly amazing! We can make baby humans- that's freaking amazing!!! .....and we really do have more control over the function of our bodies if we TREAT IT RIGHT. We get ONE PLACE TO LIVE.....and that is in our GOD given body! Take care of the ONE body we have , right! Treat it with kindness and respect it. If you aren't sure what I'm referring to.....here's the cliff notes: At the end of July, just a few days after turning the ripe ole' age of 52...I was HIT with sickness that put me in the BED FOR 3 WEEKS AND 5 DAYS! Toward the END of this sickness (be it flu and/or virus) it affected my breathing and it caused some inflammation around my heart. My TEAM OF AMAZING DR.s prescribed me a lot of REST, NO WORKOUTS and treatment for myo. (aka myocarditis)... "Acute myocarditis is a well-known complication of influenza infection. The frequency of myocardial involvement in influenza infection varies widely, with the clinical severity ranging from asymptomatic to fulminant varieties"---there are other causes but I cannot discuss them on this platform so be sure to do your own homework; especially if you are AN ACTIVE HUMAN OR AN ATHLETE - esp young MEN! What are some of the symptoms? If myocarditis is mild or at an early stage, you might have no symptoms or mild ones, such as chest pain or shortness of breath. In serious cases, the symptoms of myo are different depending on the cause. Some other common symptoms are: chest pain, rapid or abnormal heart rhythms, shortness of breath at rest or during physical activity, fluid retention with swelling of your legs, ankles and feet, fatigue, other signs and symptoms of a viral infection, such as a headache, body aches, joint pain, fever, and sore throat. Timely diagnosis can prevent long-term heart damage effectively. Your doctor may practice a physical examination first, virtual is now available in some cases, ECG, chest x-ray, MRI, blood test, echo..... I AM NOT A DOCTOR nor AM I GIVING MEDICAL ADVICE. I am simply sharing my own personal experience. "In many people, myocarditis improves on its own or with treatment, leading to a complete recovery" ------------------OUTFIT DETAILS: I'm so excited to be wearing long sleeves and my favorite flared black denim!!
