LET'S GET ENERGIZED!! I’m often asked if I eat or drink anything before I work out, and the answer is both yes and no. I prefer to work out in a semi - fasted state (depending on my workout time), but I absolutely love to drink a pre-workout drink called Energize to really kick my workout into high gear! Every morning you can see me on Snapchat or Instagram Stories with my bright yellow drink I call my “UNICORN JUICE.” So why do I drink Energize? Well, I’d never taken a pre-workout until this Performance line was created. I am super cautious about what I put into my body, and most pre-workouts out there are filled with a ton of chemicals and junk, not to mention caffeine levels that leave you feeling jittery and like your heart is going to explode.
Energize is specifically formulated not to give you jittery, shaky side effects. I love that when I take it I can feel it kick in, but I don’t feel different. It just sets me up to really power through my workout in a healthy and safe way. Energize has become part of my daily routine. I also travel with it.
In addition to the tub of Energize, there are individual packets that I bring with me when I travel. I even keep some in my purse. You never know when you are going to need a burst of energy!
Want to know a tip? Sometimes, I drink Energize even if I’m not going to work out. I actually use it on travel days when I know I may not have access to healthy food options for an extended period of time. For me, it curbs my appetite long enough to get to where I need to go without making poor food choices that could hurt my stomach. Now, you might be wondering why it’s so yellow… The yellow color you see is NOT from artificial coloring, but rather from quercetin, a naturally-occurring phytonutrient found in apples, citrus fruits, and onions. Quercetin can help improve endurance and delay exercise-induced muscle fatigue to help you get through your workouts and give you a competitive edge. Basically, the bright yellow gives you power; hence why I call it my GO-GO JUICE TOO!
